01/21/2015 An Interested Visitor Writes: The management staff is the worst I've ever seen. They call themselves family oriented but nothing could be further from the truth. Upper management is the ones that should be drug tested. They are a very dishonest group of people. It's shocking that this place in still in business. If you have love ones there please remove them as quickly as possible.

10/05/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: They used their workers benefit to their bonuse and they will say you are not qualify, when state is coming they will put many RT, On the floor to work after the state they cut the workers down to serve money for the bonus and not all the workers have document to work, they pay the Phillipines but cash and cheap that why you have a lot of them in that facility

Response: Actually, there are some employees that are genuine and are drug free. However, those who need testing are quite obvious and administration knows this.

05/16/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Would not recommend to anyone. not good for trach patients. not good for ALS patients.

04/20/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Staff turn over is frequent. A few PCAs are long term. Most last 3-6 mos. Nurses50% very good. Most of the rest well intentioned. Same for med techs. Good food...at times not suited for elderly. Eating assistance varys from ignored to focused on a few. Trash at front door often over filled. Makes you wonder. Almost all of staff smile and greet you. Haven't seen the pvt dinning room yet. Have noticed lots of cars.. visitors. Activities - music & bingo. Really big yard. Don't see residents out much.

03/14/2013 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Such a great place for Mom. We have only been there a short time and already feel a part of the family. I feel at peace when I leave Mom, that she is comfortable and being well cared for. The facility is always clean, fresh and well decorated. Keep up the good work.

10/22/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: My mother is at this place and when i read the reviews i know that they are true . There is only a few of the staff that are warm caring good people the rest are rude and defense when you talk to them I m unsure who to go to when you cant any results from the staff and i mean the whole staff not just nursing. The ones that are good are not speaking up because they dont wont to lose their job .
My mother tested postive for Mrsa i watched 5 different staff members ( aides, nurses ,cafeteria staff) all come and go from the room without washing hands, mask ,and only two had gloves the nurse that was working on moms tubing lines didnt have gloves on there was no sign to warn any family or friends of mymother or her roommate that mom has mrsa. I called the next day with my concerns and wow they were sooooo rude and blew off my concerns . They even told me after i had been there for two hours visiting with my husband and nine year old daughter that she had tested postive. And that as a precaution we should be wearing mask and gloves. Then when i call today i am told of there is no worry unless my mother coughed on one of us.
She is on a ventilator and has copd she coughs all the time. Im losti guess i just dont understand why more precautions are not taken so mrsa.

06/11/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: still hadn't got any better over the past year. why does everyone think it's about the money? People just don't have good skills anymore and no one knows how to work.

04/15/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: taking prescription pill,is not a good idea. while you are suppose to be taking care of a patience..ofcourse your going to have mood swings..& personality changes..this is definitely a big problem..

Response: Im going to assume your referring to andre the supervisor? I cant agree with you more.

Response: or maybe Latrevelyn Fields. that works on hall 200 a c.p.a. their at the facility imformed me. that Letrevelyn takes medication while at work.

02/09/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Every facility that this company owns is horriffic!!!! They should all be shut down. They dont care about the patients, the only thing they care about is money. They have the worst management!!

    Response: THIS IS SO TRUE!

01/20/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: This is THE MOST DEPRESSING excuse for a nursing home. I called it the house of horrors. That place should be shut down. The management is horrible. The place has gone to crap. The nurses are great, everything else horrific. Take your loved one to home health or a nursing home with acute care. DO NOT GO HERE. All the reviews are true. I get no money for writing this review so take what I say to heart, not the crap the management says. They get paid.

01/04/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Spanish Meadows has accomplished more in the few short months for my son than anyone thought possible. Their rehab department far exceeds our expectations and the respiratory department is remarkable. The staff is so willing and helpful. We are pleased with the results.

Response: Are you sure you are talking about SPANISH MEADOWS? because the one my loved one was at sounds nothing like the one you are speaking of.

Response: O PLEASE! WITH THE LIES. THE REHAB DEPT. IS A JOKE.

01/15/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Thank you Spanish Meadows! Your compassionate and professional care made a very difficult situation tolerable.

11/23/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: family member for almost 2 years - overall I feel the rating is far superior to most other facilities.

06/26/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: The way Spanish Meadows operates, the should be forced to pay back all moneys from Medicare. They don't listen to the patients or family members. The out come is not good.

07/21/2011 An Current/Past Resident Writes: I WOULD'NT RECOMMEND ANYONE. NO STARS, THAT SHOWS ALOT!

    Response: Agreed.

02/16/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: THe very worse nursing home in the area! Would not recommend or ever go there again!!

    Response: SO TRUE......

Response: We have more than enough staff as a matter of fact we are over staffed if anything. We have the highest staff ratio in the Katy area.

Response: They need to have staff turn over because what they have there now is pathetic. I feel so sorry for the people who have to stay there. I love how management responds so defensively to all the reviews but FAILS to acknowledge that any of these peoples concerns may be valid. Unfortunately the majority of the people under their care do not have an online "voice" therefore you really have no idea how bad this place is. I urge you to listen to what the residents say NOT what management says.

    Response: I AGREE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL....

Response: I have to agree. Very worst in the entire state.

Response: They do not have the most staff. If they have enough staff, I am the owner of apple computers. Delusional people.

06/21/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: I feel the need to let everyone know that you will be making a big mistake by leaving anyone you care about in the hands of the people at Spanish Meadows. Trashy & ghetto for such a nice part of town.

Response: I AGREE, BUT I'M NOT GONNA SAY THAT EVERYONE ,THAT WORKS THEIR IS!THERE ARE SOME THAT ARE VERY CARING; AND I FEEL SO BAD FOR THEM.TO HAVE TO SEE ALL THE TERRIBLE [UNDER THE TABLE THINGS] THAT GOES ON IN THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

03/11/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: [SHAKING HEAD] I DON'T NO WHAT HAS BECAME OF THIS PLACE. BUT THEIR HAS REALLY BEEN A BIG TURNAROUND, I HAVE ADMITTED MY FAMILY MEMBER THEIR TWICE. I HAVE HEARD STORIES LATELY . SO I JUST WENT BACK TO CHECK! NO, NO, NO. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING! SOMETHING HAS DEFINETLY WENT WRONG.

Response: We have not had much turn over at Spanish Meadows at all. As a matter of fact, most of our staff from when we opened is still here. Our level of care has changed so we have had to add staff.
