User Reviews

12/27/2014  -  An OurParents User Writes:

My mother in law was only here for a short time but the staff made us feel like family from the day we moved her in. When mom was getting close to the end, the staff was such a blessing and a great host to all that came to visit her. It really meant a lot to my family that they attended her funeral. I will keep them in mind for all my family and friends.

My Father has had a better quality of life since we moved him here. It was the best decisions our family could have made. It is like having my father at home. Everyone sits at the table for meals and the staff is very compassionate.

Description of Yellow Rose Personal Care Home in La Porte, TX

If you are seeking in-home care services for a family member or a loved one, Yellow Rose Personal Care Home has a highly trained staff of professionals available every day. Care professionals help seniors with personal care, daily activities, and respite. This facility also provides assisted living, independent living, in-home care, memory care, nursing home, hospice, respite and senior living. Offering help with the activities of daily living, along with health services, nutritious meals, and a range of other features, assisted living allows seniors to thrive. Why choose an assisted living community? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to more satisfaction with life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly apartments and a busy social calendar. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a plethora of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. You'll have your own private space, so you can bring your favorite furniture, photos, and cookware. You’ll be able to spend time pursuing activities that you enjoy since tasks commonly associated with homeownership will be taken care of. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. A unique—and growing—care type that requires an especially deep respect and honor for residents is memory care. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a team that is professionally trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment provide cognitive stimulation. Facilities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Other support services include continence care, medication management, behavioral therapies, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. Home care offers many medical and non-medical support services. In-home care allows seniors to stay as independent as possible in their own homes. For those with serious chronic health issues or critical disabilities, nursing care provides seniors with knowledgeable, intensive assistance. A skilled staff and licensed nurses provide 24/7 health care when needed as well as assistance with the activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, and help with using the bathroom. Most residents share a room, with healthy meals provided in a central dining room. An activity director coordinates an activity and events plan to encourage mental, physical, and social health. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help when you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as self-sufficient as possible. When seniors are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Memory care necessitates the highest level of support, memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. In-home care is there for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who want to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid. A nursing home is for those who cannot be cared for at home but who do not need hospital care. Call today and discover how Yellow Rose Personal Care Home is the perfect fit for seniors requiring assisted living, independent living, in-home care, memory care, nursing home, hospice, respite and senior living services.
