12/11/2017 This is the worst establishment for care of dementia or Alzheimer's. I can't speak of the other units. But the Barrington unit is disgusting. Our loved one suffered so many injuries at fault of the staff and establishment!! They have a constant change over in (untrained staff and management). Several times I have witnessed patient feces on the floor reported it to the nursing staff and they just shrug it off. 20 minutes later they call cleaning person. The dining area for the Bartington has roaches, is overcrowded and not safe!! The facility smells of urine. It not safe nor a clean facility. Residents are walking around I. Soiled clothing with urine and feces on them. The nurses (LVN/CNA ) will not clean or shower the patients. They are more concerned with their appearance and social media on there cell phones and texting, talking to family often. The chart notes are not accurate, dates are missing med dosage is not reported. So the poor MA's which is usually one has to care for th hygiene needs of 30-40 residents disgusting. Lack of patient care by nursing staff and management. One patient died fell out of bed and was not checked on until the morning!! Our poor loved one was not given medication on a regular basis which caused the illness to excellerate. They take in too many patients and do not have enough staff nor trained staff. The county Health department should close this place. The bbb and the county have been notified. They constantly put other patients clothing on each other. They never answer phone calls. They do not speak clearly to the patients, or family member. The Director is never available. Complaints or concerns are never addressed!, DO NOT PUT ANYONE IN THIS FACILITY. SHAME ON YOU SAVACARE FOR NOT INVESTIGATING OR ADDESSSING THIS FACILITY.

Response: Agreed this place is disgusting

This place is the most HORRIBLE FACILITY EVER!!!! Do not listen to the SALESMAN BRANDON...he gives a great sales his personal cell phone for 24/7 contact. WelI I have proof that was NOT THE CASE ONCE SHE WAS ADMITTED. I do not have the time to list the complaints! My mother was able to do partially for herself, yet I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER AFTER WALKING PAST THE FACADE ON THE OUTSIDE. Fair WARNING: ENTER AND STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

There is nothing to like about this hell hole. I regret leaving my Mother there as long as I did and wish I had reported them to the state. She was not bathed for almost three weeks even though I was there every day and begged and pleaded for them to bathe her. The final straw (and the day that I moved her to the wonderful Heartland of Texas rehab} was when I walked in and she was being walked with a gait belt by a physical therapist through the lobby. She was so soiled that she was dirty on the outside of her clothes. It took me an hour of demanding that she be bathed that a person with an attitude came to take her to the shower. I would not leave an animal in this place.

I am the Sunday night guy. I arrived Thursday night to find my mother's eyeglasses in the drawer, It was obvious that they had been pulled off her head by the right lens. Lens was cracked and the legs of the frame were loose and stretched. The strap to hold them was missing. I buzzed went to the desk where three were seated. I called nurse several times from the room. I made them enter the glasses into my mother's record with me watching. My mother's face had been cut by the railing Sunday (after an investigation), and when I asked why there were not pillows on the upper part of the rails, I was told I would have to bring them. NO!!!!!! I will call the director of nursing again. The "corporation" can pay for a new pair. Another pair has already been broken, and the "corporation" had to pay for a lower dental plate that was lost in the laundry!!! I am asking what state agency could bring me relief. Case workers sit behind closed doors fift feet from my mother's room. Where are they?

I believe that the death of my Father was directly a result of poor care given at this Health Care facility. The doctor assigned to him was unresponsive to care questions and I was frequently told that that was not his specialty. The lack of attention to his bed ridden condition resulted in a pressure sore on his lower back due to neglect in using well known measures for patients that are bed ridden. He was left in a wet and dirty diaper for mostly 4 hour periods.
He experienced a stroke while at the facility and was left in his bed for over 24 hours before they decided that he had one even though he had classic symptoms of a stroke victim. Apparently no one thought that a visual observation of the patient was necessary instead blood, urine and x-ray test were ordered as a means of showing concern. Oral medications were continued to be given orally even though the person could not swallow and everything went int his lungs which resulted in my father contracting pneumonia.
My experience with this facility is that they are not very skilled at nursing and the doctor does not practice good medicine.

There is no rating for this cesspool, just check the stats from the Texas Review of Nursing Homes. Do not leave anyone in this place, it is out of a horror movie from top to bottom.
