NOTHING. Mother-in-law was accepted as a new resident yesterday and then today for a reason they won't say, rejected because she will need medical care or her ethnic group. They refuse to give a reason.

WHAT A JOKE!! This place has no administration to speak of. There is a certain wing in this facility that is so filthy. Residents complaints fall on deaf ears. The so called housekeeper is still there and continues to clock in without doing any work. The proof is in all areas of this place. SOMEONE REALLY NEEDS TO CHECK IT OUT!!!

Response: did you report them to the state?

The doctor on call that was assigned to my mother was a joke as well. The only thing I found great about this place was the Rehab folks. They were so very kind and considerate to my mother and although she hated having to take rehab, she loved these guys and gals. My other had not been there too long when she fell out of bed and noone found her had it not been for her screaming; then she fell in the restroom because she could not wait for someone to take her as it takes too long due to lack of enough qualified help. Three times they sent home soiled clothing to me to wash, and I had to actually throw two outfits away because it was so bad. I complained to the DON on every occasional only to be told it would not happen again, and it continued; that was the last straw and I took my mother out, never to look back.

Response: Our family has similar complaints. This is a terrible place.

Response: Horrible place. If you hate the person you are putting there, by all means do so.

Response: I see that there has been no change at HOH, and that things are operating as normal. A warning to ALL, don't put your loved ones here, and if they are there, get them out ASAP....

I was hesitant to go into a SNF facility because of the dogma surrounding "Nursing Homes". I was admitted into this facility and quickly realized that it was more of a Home than I thought. Everyone is kind and the new DON was very through and Rehab was the BEST. I really hate that I had to leave, but I highly recommend this facility to all my friends.

Response: Ha! What a joke. Obviously written by someone who works there.

The Heights On Huebner,San Antonio,TX is a beautiful facility,it is a newer facility. Please do not be fooled and place your loved one in this facility. They lack experience and it shows with how they care for the patients.I witnessed patients being denied certain request such as,treats or extras at meal times with no explanations.Showers occur only when there are sufficient staff,my friend was not bathed for almost two weeks after her admission! She also complained of her personal belongings coming up missing constantly. When complaints were made to administration they would not address them.I know nursing homes are not perfect but, I plead that you do your research and chose carefully for the sake of your loved ones.

Response: Hoorah! The families are worse than the patients. We say good riddance!

Response: What an insensitive reply by someone posting as a rep of the home! Shows how unprofessional and idiotic they are. They DO NOT CARE!

Well, it was an extremely disappointing....needless to inform others, stay. Although this newly wonderfully decorated facility has a façade of beauty and charm, it was far from that in the care they promise to provide. It wasn't at all what my family expected. I received training in this (or so I thought from my observations during my clinical), great facility. I felt it would be the proper fit for my Mother to re-cooperate from her double knee replacement surgery. However, when our family became on the receiving end of the facilities care, it was upsetting to say the least. Their motto “Our care makes a difference” sure lived up to it! It was a joke; the nursing staff did not administer any kind of pain releif to my Mother until 9 hours after her arrival. The pain was so intense my Mother was crying silently, so not to disturb any of the other residents. I understand that all facilities such as these must follow protocol and need to have the Dr.’s orders in place before administering any prescribed meds, but they do have an emergency form of relief in the form of Tylenol, which was not even offerred to my Mom.
After 2 days in this hell-hole, we removed my Mother out of this facility because of neglect, unprofessionalism and complete lies about how the care would improve. Moreover, as we were exiting the building, the management never once addressed me or my Mother with an apology. She was standing against a wall during a fashion show while we passed directly by her. And she wants to be considered a professional? She may have a college degree, but her mannerisms leave much to be desired. And they do not follow the proper nutrional guidelines for the special needs patients either. They present slop and expect you to enjoy it! Not only are the meals generic for all, it is served late and cold........

Response: Thank you for we just found out tonight about the service with one of our neighbor wife went in and fell out of bed and they did not call him to let him know she fell out of bed not once but twice.. He has remove her from there ...
