Yes, they are nice - of course - they want your money, and trust me when I say they will put on a show, but if you think these patients are receiving care and positive interaction, think again. They will mislead you into thinking they have MD doctors, but the doctors there are not MDs. Before you fall for the charm, ask to see the MD/credentials. My relative that was being cared for there looked like he was in a NAZI camp before I got him the hell out of this place - it is hell and the pictures are a joke - NO INTERACTION except when you are there - after that - watch - your loved one will be in emergency room soon.

Nancy Johnson meet with my husband and I on Saturday, December 4, 2010, for a tour of Briarcliff for possible placement of my husband's mother. We had 3 facilities to visit that day and Briarcliff was the first. After meeting with Nancy, we had cancelled the remaining tours. Nancy was extremely thorough and helpfull in the process. She had explained to us the entire process. She was understanding and compassionate. My mothher-in-law is currently at the Atria on Copeland, and the people at this facility had never given us the same treatment.
We are very thankful for Nancy in helping us find a home for my mother-in-law.

Response: I feel sorry for you - you don't know yet, but you will. Not trying to be mean - trying to help you because it will be pure hell.

Response: Syria and Briarcliff like apples and oranges. Be vigilant...drop in unannounced always. Good luck...looking to move my husband with Alzheimer's move from mrmory care to nursing home. This place has never had a good reputation in 27 years I've lived here. But things can change.
