My dad passed away after spending close to 7 years as a resident at Jackson House Assisted Living in Boston, Virginia.I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the owners/management and staff for their kindness and compassion. You do not know how wonderful it is to have peace of mind and know that your loved one is being taken cared of in a safe, loving home environment. He was treated as if he were their own father and grandfather. In my father's own words he said..." They do a good job, they take care of me." Jackson House is truly an asset to Rappahannock county and the community.I believe they are angels on earth.

It is totally different from the structured/generic care of a nursing home. The moment you step in the house, you will feel the warmth of your own home. The management and staff are personally very warm, caring, kind and compassionate. It is a small facility so the care and attention is very personal.Help/assistance is prompt. The management and staff is well trained in managing difficult/aggressive/impulsive behaviors associated with Alzheimer's dementia. They have varied stimulating activities that keeps my mother active and alert during the day.I did a little research and asked people around about Jackson House before i made my decision. The owners are accessible and very encouraging. They eased my anxiety because they answered all my questions about care of the elderly family member. You will never hesitate to call them day or night because you know they will answer all your questions. these guys know what they are doing and they are " hands on ". They personally supervise and monitor the quality of care. The owners are Registered Nurses and experts in the care of the elderly as proven by certificates and recognitions on the walls. It is rare to find such. I am very pleased and satisfied of the care my mother is getting that I go there a lot. They do encourage family visits, and that makes it "Homey".
