I am on my second stay here after two knee replacements. I cannot say enough about the care from the nurses aides to the rehab staff to the doctors to the management. My care could not have gone better if I had choreographed it myself! I loved the ladies in the gym. The therapists and techs have endless energy and laughter which always helps when you are a bit down. Last time I was here, I had some vomitting issues. One of the RN's, Addis, stayed with me the entire time I was sick and never left my side during this terrible episode. I am eternally grateful for all the staff at Burke did for me. It is one invigorating place.

I have had two family members at Burke Health & Rehab Center. My grand mother and my father. Both experiences (one is 2008 an done is 2014) have been positive. The care is excellent and the staff have alot of compassion. Many of them are long term staff there as I remember mutiple team members from 2008. This is really unheard of in this market in any business really! My father was challenging to care for much of the time and each staff members used patience and kindness at all times. My father is walkng again, living independently and even dating now! My grandm other passed away at Burke in 2008 but with loving care givers and my fmaily at her side.

My father was there for rehab after kidney surgery. The staff at all levels were upbeat, caring and compassionate. The nurses and the therapists were top notch and all have been there for many years. The management team, starting with the administrator and the Director of Nursing, have been there for over 20 years! This is a rare find in healthcare. This is prevalent throughout Burke Health and Rehab, in all departments! It speaks volumes to me. The collective experience was felt throughout my father's time there. He certainly wanted to go home but the team helped navigate him through his recovery using the Recovery Map. He went home safe and independent and loved tracking his progress with the staff each day. I would bring any family member back and recommend this place to anyone. You really must "feel" it to get a sense of the energy in this place. BTW, great doctors too! They always seem to be present and available when we needed them. They provide their cell numbers to the patients and families. Now THAT is customer service!

My brother was at Burke Health & Rehab Center after he had a severe stroke. He is on the younger side and was completely independent prior to the stroke and had a very successful job. After seeing him at the hospital I was determined to find the best rehab facility possible. The nurses, physical therapist and social worker at Sentara Potomac Hospital recommended that I tour Burke Rehab. I was so impressed from the first moment I walked in to the building. I was greeted by the evening nurse who showed me around and answered my questions. The rehab gym is huge with lots of equipment and staff. The building is very clean and bright, which really helped my brother with his recovery. All of the staff members, from the nurses, aides, cleaning ladies and physical therapists were so kind, helpful and really helped my brother regain his ability to walk, talk and return to life. He did not know where he was when he entered Burke and at the end, he walked out on his one...not even using a cane! I am so thankful for all of the staff at Burke Rehab for all of their dedication and skill in helping people recover!

I am so thankful for all of the staff at Burke Health & Rehab Center. My mother recovered there after a fall and fractured hip (needed surgery too). She was completely independent before the fall- went to church daily, volunteered at the pediatric unit at Fairfax Hospital and came to weekly soccer games to support her grandchildren. Thanks to all of the rehab staff and equipment available in the rehab room, she is able to walk again and back to being independent. Everyone was so caring and helpful at Burke Health & Rehab Center- from the receptionist, every physical therapist, all the nurses, social worker and the cleaning ladies. My mother would not have been able to have such a great recovery without the help of everyone at Burke!

I went to Burke Health & Rehab Center after my hip replacement. The place was very clean and bright, and the staff placed high importance on making sure every corner of the building was perfectly clean. The nurses were very helpful and made sure I was able to manage my pain, especially before my therapy sessions. They work so hard! My doctor was very involved in my care and even gave me his cell phone number if I ever had questions, which was very impressive. The rehab staff is excellent...I have nothing but great things to say about each therapist. They made me laugh, taught me very valuable exercises and the rehab wing is huge with lots of equipment. The receptionist at the building is so welcoming and great at greeting all of my guests that came to visit me. The food can use some improvement, but I went there for the rehab not the food. Overall, I had a great experience there and would recommend to anyone who needs therapy services!

I stayed at Burke Rehab after my knee surgery and had a great experience. The transition from the hospital was very smooth and the staff had all of my records when I arrived. The rehab staff was fantastic. My therapist worked me very hard and taught me how to move again and exercises to get my strength back. He made me laugh all the time and I'm so thankful for all of his dedication. The rehab building is so clean and bright, which is hard to find. The cleaning ladies work so hard and make sure everything is perfect! The nurses were very knowledgeable about my medications, helped with my pain and made me feel care for. I am so thankful for all the staff at Burke Health and Rehab!! I can finally enjoy life again!

We are so thankful for all of the staff at Burke Health and Rehab! Everyone from the cleaning ladies, to the nursing, social workers, and therapists are excellent at what they do and really helped my husband return home. His therapists were funny, very knowledgeable, and helped him become independent again. The nurses were so caring and made me feel very comfortable knowing that he was taken good care of. I came to visit at random times and every time the nurses were very attentive to his care. We cannot say enough about the entire facility. Thank you, thank you for all that you did and continue to do!!

We have had multiple admissions to Burke Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. The latest expansion of the rehab department is great and the staff is very accomodating. The social work office is extremely helpful and is always ready to assist families.

My mother was at Burke Health & Rehab Center after she suffered a severe stroke. I researched many facilities throughout the Northern Virginia area. After touring 6 facilities, I knew that Burke was the place I wanted for my mother. It was so clean and bright throughout the entire facility, which was very important to me. The nurses and nurse manager were so welcoming when my mother arrived to the facility. They carefully reviewed all of the medical records from the hospital with me and explained everything that was going to happen. The nurse assigned to my mother was so caring and made my mother feel completely cared for. It was so nice to see that all of the nurses were smiling, welcoming and really enjoyed their job. The physical, occupational and speech therapy staff were absolutely wonderful! The rehab wing at Burke Health & Rehab is definitely the best around. It is very large, has many windows overlooking the woods, and filled with high tech equipment. I wanted to work out there too! They worked very hard day in and day out with my mother helping her regain all of her skills and independence to go back home alone. The therapy is offered 7 days a week, which is great, as my mother never had to "take the weekends off" or decline in the progress she had made during the week. Thanks to the staff at Burke Health & Rehab Center my mom has returned home safely and is back enjoying life again. It is the best rehab facility in the area! I would recommend this facility to everyone needed rehab services.

There are many rehab facilities in Northern VA, so I had a hard choice to make. My husband had a stroke and need physical therapy and speech therapy when he was released from the hospital. The nurses at the hospital told me that Burke has the best rehab and I should go tour the facility. I was so impressed with how clean the place was, the beautiful rehab space (looks like a gym) and how busy the place was. Thanks to my husband's excellent physical therapist he is back home walking around and going to our grandson's soccer games. He is so happy to be able to do the things he enjoyed before his stroke. Without the therapy and nursing care he got 7 days a week he would never had recovered. Burke Rehab is the best facility in the area!

This facility is terrible. The floor in the dining hall is buckling: it never seems like it has just been cleaned; the staff can be combative at times; We only wish we had other alternatives. Hopefully, our friend will not live long at this facility.

I lost my loved one from bedsores and sepsis (caused from the bedsores) while at Burke Health Care Center. Think twice about letting a loved one stay here for any kind of rehab. I regret it everyday of my life.
