More supervision on night staff. Day staff as a whole are more helpful and available.

My family member had surgery and went to Chesapeake Healthcare for rehab. She had been at other centers prior to going there and I had been far less than impressed with the other centers. Chesapeake Healthcare is above any expectation I could have had for her! They were very attentive and took care of her! The therapy department is exceptional and worked wonders with her in the short time she was there. She loved the food and only had good things to say about everyone she came into contact with. Each time we visisted, there were always staff members around that were tending to her needs and making sure she was being helped. We cannot say enough good things about the place and if any other family members have to have therapy, they will definitely go there! We couldn't have been happier!

my mother in law was here in march 2013 she is in her 90s she was suppose to have 2 nurses but they got mixed up with the orders they let her fall on her back and most of the time they had her sitting in a wheel chair from morning to evening I know everbody is not the same because some of the nurses treated her like she was thier mother and were very professional just the few caused us to take mother out early and get home care

I have volunteered at Chesapeake healthcare for a long time and have never had any problems with the facility. It is always very clean and the staff is always friendly and willing to help you with what ever you need. The residents always seem happy with games to play and crafts to make. I would always recommend this facility to anyone that would want there family member taken care of as if there were at home with you. Great facility all around.

I would not advise anyone to put their family members here. My mother was here and they did not know what medications were for what. She had a seizure and was taken to the hospital(if they knew what meds she was prescribed for this it could have been taken care of asap) I got a call that she was unresponsive. She was sent back to the facility only to find a nurse in her room going through her purse. Family had to go through medications to find what she was prescribed for this problem. She had to be the one to tell them she wanted it and she could barly talk because of the shaking. She was release eventually and passed within 2 weeks.

My father has been in rehab for one month. It is nearly impossible to get anyone to call you back when you have a question. There is no doctor or nurse practioner available on the weekends and just forget about the holidays. I am so sorry I put my dad there. We got the recommendation from Dr. Miller, at Chesapeake Regional Hospital,as to a safe and very accommodating staff.
