the rehab and the rehab staff and this rating is from 4 1/2 yrs ago when my mom came from roanoke straight there where she learned to feed herself sit up and it blew my mine THE DAY SHE WALKED WITH A WALKER. NOW AS OF TODAY 4 1/2 YEARS LATER I AM LEARNING ABOUT THE NURSING SIDE OF IT THAT SHE WAS THERE FOR 4 DAYS. LET ME START BY ADMITTING THAT I WAS THE ONE THAT THOUGHT I OVER REACTED AFTER FINDING MOM ON THE 4TH DAY THERE AND I TOOK HER HOME. ITS HARD ENOUGH MAKING A MOVE TO A NURSING HOME BUT IT IS ME ALONE CARING FOR HER AND THE 2 OF US HAVE WORKED WELL TOGETHER ALL THE SHOWERS TRIPS TO DR. A LITTLE SHOPPING AND I WAS STILL TRYING TO KEEP MY JOB OF 30 YRS PT WITH SAFEWAY BUT THE TIME HAD COME AND CHAR IS 2 1/2 MLS FROM OUR HOME SO AFTER MY AT BRUST I WENT TO ALL OF THEM AND APOLOGIZED , BEGGED CRIED AND PLEAD AND THEY REFUSE TO TAKE HER BACK AND I FELT I MESSED THINGS UP FOR MOM BUT AFTER READING THE REVIEWS MAYBE THIS WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN. SO TO CULPEPER HEALTH AND REHAB IM GONING TO THANK YOU FOR NOT TAKING MOM I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE HAD TO LOSE IT UP THERE AGAIN AND I HAD EVEN PROMISED THAT I WOULDNT IF YOU WOULD TAKE HER. EVEDENTLY SOMEONE KNEW THAT WAS A PROMISE I COULDNT KEEP

This place is horrible! My grandmother was in there for about 2-3 months. She would always have unexplained bruises and she lost 20 lbs being there. Majority of the workers do not care about any of the patients. There were numerous times they left my grandmother in a drenched diaper and she would wear the same clothes for days if we couldn't make it up to see her. We have found her on the floor just laying there because no one would watch her. They also never changed her bed linens. We would see how dirty they were and ask about having them changed but instead of them changing them, they would just hand us the linens to change ourselves. The room was FILTHY! the bathroom floor was sticky from urine and there was a HUGE hole in the wall that we saw mice coming in and out of. There was also mice feces in her dresser. It got to a point to where we would complain about something every time we went there. So with that said, they kicked her out. They asked us to move her because they couldn't watch her. The staff is also EXTREMELY EXTREMELY rude.

Response: thank you for writing this even if it was awhile back it has helped me feel better about them not accepting us back in there because of the way i found my mom and she was only there 4 days over holiday weekend nothing at all done they all were on holiday pay. i lost my cool and took her out and now back at finding a place. the 2 of us have done this 5 yrs , with no help to speak of but she needs more than that now and im having a hard time cutting that string. thanks
