If I had to do it all over again I never would have chosen this facility for my loved one. The food is absolutely horrible. The nurses and PT staff are good but they are extremely understaffed. They use the CNA's to deliver the food trays instead of having them be available for the patients. If you need anything you best plan on waiting a long time to get anyone to come into your room. It was not uncommon for her to wait up to an hour for an aid to come and help her into the bathroom. The administration is the absolute worst, they are uncaring and rude. It is obvious they only care about the bottom line. She went almost a month without medication, supplies and medications not ordered for her. I read another review that said you can't judge a book by its cover and that is so very very true. It looks nice, but it's not. And please understand this, they do not care about dietary needs. Whether that be for a diabetic or someone with sodium requirements or any other dietary need. The food is absolutely disgusting.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE DO NOT PUT THEM HERE! I have worked in many places but this place is the worst. Staff dont care and even ignore residents also I have seen residents not get their meds and care because they were confused and wouldn't complain. Management dont care all they see are dollars. So please don't put your loved one in this place!

A good rehab facility, but like any nursing home, you are not going to have a full time nurse.

Compared to other nursing homes and rehab centers, this place doesn't smell like a normal nursing home. Usually, they clean the rooms, but not everyday. The let the patients sit around alone in a wheelchair and just leave them. They certainly need more caring staff, and on weekends, they do not have near enough staff to help, guess nobody wants to work weekends except the nurses, The aids sure don't. If you need something for the patient, you might get it about an hour later. Unbelievable how UNCARING some of the people can be. The food is the worst I have ever seen, and nobody seems to care, but I noticed NONE of the staff eats this mess. The need a REAL cook that cares about the food and the way it is presented to patients, & not just thrown on the plate.

Response: staff aren't necessarily permitted to eat the food on the job. They have to pay for it and would be required to eat it in a break room.....

My husband has been in the rehab for quite some time, and the staff has been outstanding as far as help, the staff and aids are usually around for help too. I do have a complaint: The FOOD is horrible, and they definitely need a new cook with some experience as to the foods these patients can eat, especially the ones with very few teeth. PLEASE get a cook that doesn't mind you asking what in the world is this food called? It's not appealing, and tastes HORRIBLE. Thanks

I would never use this facility again.

Staffed by mostly LPNs and CNAs. Need more training. Made serious medication errors. Used non sterile procedures in wound care. I was in for rehab after surgery and with a pain scale of 10 told me that they had run out of my medication. The food is terrible. No supervisor on duty at night.

They should shut this facility down and start over because they need help. I blame management for the state this facility is in. Don't bother to push the buzzer if you need help because no one will come. They have orderly that should be helping patients delivering food trays. The workers have no idea how to help the elderly and don't want too.

I was my husband's advocate and if I hadn't been there every single day, I dread the types of things that would have happened beyond what did even with me being there. The cost of care should warrant much more than the patients receive. The food is bland and many times cold and unappetizing. Call bells go unanswered. Staff at times seem uninterested in the patients, they complain about what they must do. They are often short staffed. Currently, I am fighting to have bills paid for services that are supposed to be covered. It's ashame that this facility being the newest, lacks so much and is a dismal failure in my opinion.

I just can't stop, can I?
Here is another thing that really bothered me about this place. Every other day when someone died they would take all of the furniture out of thier rooms and put them in the Hallway! For the entire day. All the residents knew why. Such a cheerful thing to do to us old folks. Thanks Falls Run

I said I would do a follow up, AND HERE IT IS. when I got my husband out of there. And here it is. Although The machine is telling me, That body appears to be spam . So likely will nor register. IT TOOK ME MORE THAN A MONTH TO GET MY HUSBAND A SHOWER. I got lies like The hot water tank is on the fritz. It was done on the last shift. Stopping now. Changing computers as I don't feel they are going to let this through.

Response: You I think are the administrator for this facility. No one who has spent any time with thier loved one in this facility would agree with you.

Response: You work for this company, I am sure. You never had a loved one confine to Falls Run.

The previous review of this rehab facility is extremely wrong. I have had nothing, but positive things to say about this facility. The staff take the extra time that is needed to make Dad feel like he is home. I appreciate all that they do.

Response: No you do not need to go on for me. I spent 3 months watching them in action. The few people there who are sincere and willing to work should be hired by a good facility.

01/10/2012  -  An OurParents User Writes:

I was forgiving at first because the facility is new, however, they are extremely understaffed and show little understanding of patient's psychological wellbeing. Watching tv all day is how they pass the day. Matching patients to their peers is like matching a lion with a lamb. Social services are especially a joke. The food is horrible and lunch and dinner usually consist of sandwitches. need I go on?

Response: I totally agree. The social services or case worker is completely a joke and unprofessional.
