This place is horrible please do not put your loved ones here. It is old and run down. They have bed bugs. Some of the employees treat the residents bad and nothing is done about it. Adminstration treats the good employees like dirt under there feet. The one good thing is the food.

my father did NOT deserve to be placed in this facility for the last 3 weeks of his life. If I had known he was at this dump, I would have rescued him asap. I am Disgusted as a few friends have reported what it's like there and the pics made me cry. The Hampton Health Dept.doesn't care much this poorly run place either :(

Its always a sad time to have to put your loved one into this care. I was touched by the care and love that I see for each patient staff member. Thank you. This is an old establishment however we are looking forward to the new building.

one of the worst homes i have visited. dirty. old. poorly ran, understaffed, unhappy, gloomy, nasty nasty places. administration is a joke here. I might put my cranky mother in law there to teach her a lesson.. never for more than a month- that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

Response: I live out of state and in May '12, my father passed away at this "home". When we called them to find out details, the administrator was Rude and very evasive to both my husband and I. It breaks my heart to know my brother chose such a terrible place to place our father in his final 3 weeks on earth.

Response: Thank you for your honest opinions, my father is currently in a different assisted living facility and I was considering moving him to Shelton, I have visited them in the past and the facility does look gloomy and the rooms resembled prison cells.... But after reading your comments I have decided not to even consider this place any more. Thanks :)
