The most recent health inspection says that they had a resident with a broken leg that was untreated for 5 days. You can read about it here:

Lynchburg Health and Rehab is the worst skilled/nursing facility in the site of Va. A family member of mine was a patient there and it was like living out my worst nightmare. A patient had fallen a couple months ago and passed away the next morning due to her fall, many others get transported to the hospital due to neglect, and staff members talk about how the therapists are sleeping around with other staff members for money. I've been to administration before and their administrator who looks to be about 25 does absolutely nothing. He is there for the money, dresses in Burberry and walks around acting like he cares about everyone's issues. The place is a disaster. I will never recommend this hell place to anyone.

PT and OT staff very good. The rest of the staff : HORRIBLE. I hope when the nurses and cnas are in a nursing home they get the same "care" that they dished out while working.

Uhhh...don't get me started! When your parent's legs leak fluid on the floor and the CNA cleans it up with a paper towel and nothing else, talk about DIRTY! That's like cleaning up blood or pee with a paper towel. Some nurses are good, but most are not. The ones that suck just don't care about what they do. You can just tell that they are there for a paycheck.

Let's just say that after my father was a patient there for two years, and ended up septic in the hospital, that I will NEVER allow myself to enter a nursing home, nor will my spouse. We will euthanize each other. The link provided next was published in my father's home town. The first "nursing" home mentioned is Allegany County Nursing Home; the second "nursing" home is Lynchburg Health and Rehab.

I would not recommend this facility to anybody, because their main interest is money, not the patient. They use every means they can to charge you additional fees and fail to explain the reasoning behind such.If you have any questions, they always tell you they will get back to you about it, but never do. Thus the staff, cleanliness and quality of care is extremely poor. When you walk in the facility, yes, it looks nice, but appearances can be very deceiving.
