Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Center is an awful place to work as well as live. I surrendered my employment with this company due to their bad practices and uncleanliness. I feel that each resident deserves to recieve the highest level of care possible as well as to be in the cleanest and safest enviornment possible, which i found this facility not to be. I don't know what got to me more, the roaches crawling around on the floors, walls, and ceilings or the leaking pipes and roof on the 3rd floor that disgust me most. Either way the cleanliness and up keep of this facility is seriously lacking. On another note, I will say that there are a few wonderful CNA's who genuinely care the residents but there are also several who are there simply for the paycheck. In my time at blue ridge I have seen employees who belittle and frett residents to get on their nerves, hurting their feelings to the point that the resident cries, and when reported nothing is done. Nurses also drug residents, many of which aren't in need to the point that the resident remains immobile for one to two days. I would not recommend you become employed by this facility or send your relative here. My hope is that this facility may improve to become great like I know it has the potential to be, but until then, there are definitely much better alternative options for your loved one.

Don' pay attention to the Medicare rating. Reports have shown that this is a skewed report. I have a family member he and the care here is very good. Yea, I have problems with them sometimes, but they do everything they can to make things right for me and my family member. Go see this facility for yourself, don't take anybody elses word for it.
