My grandfather was here for about 3 months and I think it is an awful place! Very non personal and has a creepy hospital feel to it and the rooms don't even have carpet and meals are presented on a covered tray reminding you of being in the hospital with no choice and gross food....
He is now at Our Lady of the Valley which is much more pleasant and so is the staff and the director. You get a warm and welcoming feeling as you come in. He has choices for what he wants to eat at each meal and his room is carpeted!

Rehab staff were kind and helpful, but avoid being an inpatient in this facility. Nursing staff is poor: no handwashing, not even after leaving isolation rooms. Family had 2 infections in just 2 weeks time there - UTI and MRSA in surgical wound. Staff did not recognize infection, told us it was fine. Had to fight for treatment and removal from center. Seems very difficult to get a doctor there when needed. One wound nurse for all of center, unable to see all patients and may be a carrier of infection as she comes in carrying her gloves balled up in her hands, did not witness her washing her hands either. Nursing leaves patients on bedpans for extended periods (1 hour witnessed), and in their own waste refusing to clean them up again. Even simple linen changes and consistent meal trays seem to be a challenge. Witnessed staff not carrying out an MD order for an entire 10 days despite frequent requests/reminders to do so. Did not check on diabetic with chronic pain for 6 hours - no meal tray, no blood sugar check, no pain medicine. Family had to rush over, MD called by family and medicine suddenly available after all. Be prepared and able to fight for yourself and protect yourself if you go there. Check out quality ratings on Medicare Nursing Home compare site-wish we had!!
