User Reviews

My mother was a resident at Sunrise for about 4 months after having brain surgery. They advertise that they work with patients with memory issues. However, any time that she was cranky because of her brain issues, they called us in a panic to come and manage her. I do not think that their aides are trained very well in memory, Alzheimer’s, etc. Additionally they hardly ever delivered a correct invoice and usually the errors were in their favor.

If you want your loved one to be ignored, send him or her here. The food is terrible, the floors are dirty. The staff is very friendly and welcoming when you come to visit, but don't let that fool you. Once you're there, you will be ignored. Some of the direct care staff are very nice and helpful but they are spread too thin. When you call, the response time is at least 30 min. 24 hour home care is no more expensive than this place and would provide your loved one with one on one care.

Description of Sunrise at Countryside in Sterling, VA

Number of Beds : 130

Providing assisted living, independent living, hospice and senior living services, Sunrise at Countryside has a wide range of services and amenities in a warm, friendly environment. Assisted living, geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but occassionally need a little assistance, is the fastest growing, long-term care option for seniors. Living in a senior community has many advantages. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. With assisted living, you'll enjoy senior-friendly homes and a welcoming staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and a calendar of social events. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. Developed for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a range of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You’ll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Reside at Sunrise at Countryside and enjoy a relaxing lifestyle, where residents can enjoy conversation and meet new friends. In this community, assisted living, independent living, hospice and senior living services are provided. The help you'll find at assisted living communities is offered as necessary, with the goal of supplying the support services required to stay as self-reliant as possible. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. If you are looking for the perfect assisted living, independent living, hospice and senior living services for you or a loved one, call today to find out more.
