Parent fell several times and staff slow (15 min plus) to respond to bed alarm. Got bad infection, seemed not to care, slow to diagnose and treat. DIED from infection. Was there for rehab, not nursing care. Would NOT recommend.

I'd give the staff a rating of five stars there are a couple staff persons who seem to be merely capable but the great majority in my opinion are first rate and serve us (the patients) well beyond the call of duty. Cleanliness received only 4stars because I saw a few drops of cranberry juice on a floor this morning which was still there two hours later. I'd like to give the quality of care a 5-star rating but honestly, being just one patient making observations, surely my conclusions are too highly subjective to know whether or not it could be any better.

Took physicians 4 days to diagnose thrush and begin treatment. Patients health continued to decline, labored breathing, spiking temperature and fuluctuating blood pressure. However, physician and staff not concerned. Staff had difficulty getting meds correct, particularly when shifts changed. Thus family not comfortable leaving until last meds in the evening were administered. Family finally demands transfer to local hospital. Hospital exam finds sores in groin area (unreported by Windermere) even though she was bathed a number of times. Hospital finds she has MRSA (comon is nursing homes). Patient spends the next 5 days on IV antibotics in the hospital.

Overall, the staff seemed bothered when family asked for assistance or help. Staff did not respond timely to call buttonin the night. Patient repeatedly wet the bed due to not getting timely assistance to the bathroom.
