Terriable place to work..Staff doesnt care about the patients at all. The upper mangement has no managerial skills. I once was a employee there never again.

My father, 84 yrs old was placed at Belmont from Harrison Hospital. He was complaining that he couldn't breathe. I was shocked, that non of the staff nor the Doctor could identify that he was having heart failure, due to a collapsed lung. He would have been dead within hours. NONE of the staff helped me get a 205 lb man into my car. I took him to Seattle Veterans Hospital. He is stable now.

Nursing staff doesn't care at all about the residents. Its all phony and dangerous for any resident. Cleaning staff does a good job and that's about all.

I am shocked to see that staff do not wash their hands upon entering and leaving the room. I am a healthcare professional myself, but I am afraid to make a fuss for fear we would have a hard time placing him if he requires admission in the future.

Response: Thank you for posting a comment on Belmont Terrace. The place is not very good - the nursing staff and aides don't seem to care.

My mother lived there almost 7 years and the morning she was having a stroke, the RNs and aides didn't even recognize a stroke or that she was acting different. She couldn't talk or swallow and they didn't call 911. The hospital is 3 minutes away. They put her back to bed and said she had an infection. Our family finally realized they didn't care and had diagnosed her wrong and we had her sent to the ER - which is only 6 blocks away! The hospital was not happy that she wasn't sent in 3-4 hours of the stroke, not 3 days. She tried to survive after getting care at the hospital, but the unattended stroke had caused too much damage to her. It was so sad because she wanted to live. No one at Belmont did anything to help her. She trusted them and so did we.

Although the Our Parents description says they have assisted living, they do not. I was told on the phone today by Sharon that they have not had assisted living there in a few years.
