i don't know how this hell-hole remains open. they r a sham.
the owner gives you a big lie about the quality of living and "his and other" care. if you don't abide by their "imprisonment", they will punish you by taking away your meds, rather than help you. they feine concern while they could care less about your well-being. Get out while you can!! they should be reported to the better business bureau, and definitely should NOT be accredited, if they are. find that out first.

What a hell hole. My brother and I were there at lunch time. All that was given to the residents was a very small bowl of tomato soup --- no sandwich, not even a cracker. The place mats were filthy, as was the rest of the facility. The entire place was run down. Don't place a family member in there!!! How do they keep there funding for this place?

Description of Ovenell Home LTC Inc in BURLINGTON, WA

Number of Beds : 31

Assisted living is a care type that offers the same potential for excitement and opportunities as independent living, but always with an extra layer of security and help. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a more fulfilling life. With assisted living, you'll find senior-friendly living options and a dedicated staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, social programs, and local transportation are usually provided, too. If you are over fifty-five and are looking for a more comfortable, enjoyable, and convenient way of life, modern-day senior living may be just what you need. Senior living consists of two components: a new kind of housing and a new way of life. When you've grown weary of lawn upkeep, home repairs, and the daily cleaning and maintenance of your home, senior living is a wide, welcoming avenue worthy of exploration. There's independent living, where you take care of yourself (minus only the cooking and housekeeping), to more intense forms of compassionate assistance, such as in nursing or memory care, available around-the-clock. You are encouraged to examine the many styles of senior living and consider a new, convenient way of life.
