A member of my family is there as a temporary resident. The caregiving is quite lax - especially on the weekends when there seems to be a staff shortage. Also, while walking down the hall, I have overheard caregivers complaining about some of their patients which is VERY unprofessional in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't want my family member to be a permanent resident here.

Response: My mother is here and I am apalled at the level of care. I stay 12 hours a day with her just to make sure she gets what she needs.

Seems as though this facility has on going phone problems of sorts. I live 250 miles away and call my sister regularly only to get no answer. I find out that her phone is unplugged and have to go through the nurses station (when someone answers) to go to her room, plug the phone in and let her know she has a call. I know my sister is not capable of unplugging the phone herself; so, how does her phone get unplugged? Signed, Miffed in Eastern Washington

Very concerned about the type of communications and service.

we did not have good experience here. They give a lot of good lip service but that is all.Would not recommend it to anyone. The phtsical therapy department, however is very good.

Response: Can you tell me more about this? I have a dear friend in this facility, and am very concerned. Thank you.

Response: My mother is also here. I am having difficulty with the understaffing. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to get a response from the staff when she pushes the button for a need. She can't get to the bathroom by herself and almost always wets herself because they don't get there in time. Also, she uses a bedside commode rather than the toilet and sometimes they fail to empty it for hours. The leave her in her wheelchair when they bring her back from meals and she can't hold herself up for any length of time. I find her slumped over and almost falling our. They change her after a bathroom mishap with gloved hands and don't remove the contaminated gloves before handling her oxygen tubes, etc. I can't believe the stuff they get away with. Grosses me out. I stay with her 12 hours a day because I don't trust them to take care of her needs.
