I have family that works their. They have new management, and are starting to treat employees like crud. My family member that works their used to love working their, they used to tell me how much the residents loved it their, but now this person hates it due to the management. I am also told residents want to leave but because of insurance, they can not. This family member is to afraid to say anything because they need their job at the moment, but I have talked to other employees as well, at the rate they are going they may end up with picketers around them. From the employees I have talked to, I have heard of workers on workman's comp because of under staffing, being threatened to be fired if they do not do normal duties after being hurt. I have heard of people being forced to transfer due to injury, and others getting hours cut in more than half. This leads to the residents not getting the care they need as well, if the whole staff that knows what they are doing gets hurt, it leads to under qualified people taking their place. If you choose this facility for a home, please take these words into mind. They are overpriced, underfunded, and treat their employees like crud. I have not personally talked with a resident, but I have heard a lot are wanting to leave, so at least take time to look into other places as well. Thank you.

Description of Prestige Senior Living Bridgewood in Vancouver, WA

Built In 2001 , Number of Beds : 124

Assisted living is a care type that offers the same potential for excitement and opportunities as independent living, but always with an extra layer of security and help. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a more fulfilling life. With assisted living, you'll find senior-friendly living options and a dedicated staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, social programs, and local transportation are usually provided, too. If you are over fifty-five and are looking for a more comfortable, enjoyable, and convenient way of life, modern-day senior living may be just what you need. Senior living consists of two components: a new kind of housing and a new way of life. When you've grown weary of lawn upkeep, home repairs, and the daily cleaning and maintenance of your home, senior living is a wide, welcoming avenue worthy of exploration. There's independent living, where you take care of yourself (minus only the cooking and housekeeping), to more intense forms of compassionate assistance, such as in nursing or memory care, available around-the-clock. You are encouraged to examine the many styles of senior living and consider a new, convenient way of life.
