Response: I can honestly say, I don't know how it could go from a 4 star to a 5 star facility...This nursing home needs serious updates, such as controlled air conditioning and heat in each room...NOT JUST IN THE HALLWAYS. My mom would be pouring sweat and miserable and having trouble breathing due to the heat. Had a fan in the room, but it only moved around hot air. The windows are so old you cannot open them, meals for the patience for what they pay to stay there aren't half the time fit for them to eat in my opinion and most importantly VERY SHORT STAFFED! I don't care what anyone says: If a facility is short staffed the patience don't get GOOD care.
I live 900 miles away and my most recent visit was in August and I was there at least 8 hours a day every day and in the evenings especially, there was 1 nurse on duty and 2 aides for about 30 or 40 patients.
This is disgusting and frustrating to me.
