User Reviews

08/01/2013  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Parkside is very quiet and the staff is so friendly! You get a great sense of community because everyone who lives here is so nice. The staff are very helpful and so nice to be around. The food is very good. My Wife and I enjoy eating the meals provided here. The building is very clean and everything is up to snuff. Everything here is just so wonderful. We love that we were able to keep our cat "Boots" in our apartment. We made the right choice in assisted living care! The only reason why I am giving it a 4 star review is that I would like a bigger fridge for my apartment!

Description of Parkside Assisted Living in De Forest, WI

Built In 2006 , Number of Beds : 60

Live at Parkside Assisted Living and experience a calm, easy lifestyle, where residents can share stories and meet new friends. With a full range of assisted living, independent living, memory care, continuing care, hospice, respite and senior living services, and with a helpful, caring staff, seniors feel right at home. When seeking a long-term care solution, assisted living is geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but need some assistance. There are many reasons for living in an assisted living community. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You'll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care offers the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia need a compassionate, specially-trained staff. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment bring intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) provide a complete care platform, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. Make a home at Parkside Assisted Living, where you'll experience a comfortable new beginning. There are assisted living, independent living, memory care, continuing care, hospice, respite and senior living services available at this location. Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of supplying the support required to stay as self-reliant as possible. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Memory care offers a more direct level of care, intellectual stimulation, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) provide a complete care platform, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. If you are looking for the perfect assisted living, independent living, memory care, continuing care, hospice, respite and senior living services for you or a loved one, call today to find out more.
