When we took our grandmother to visit Avalon she immediately felt at home. She has been there a bit over a year now and is very happy there and the staff treat her as if she was family.
I can't say enough about the kind treatment she receives from everyone there. She is a treasure and we know she is in the best care. Thanks everybody at Avalon!

They have been taking excellent care of my mother who needs constant care. The staff is truly involved with keeping her as mentally and physically active as she can be given her condition. I have never witnessed any unprofessional behaviour and the facility has always been clean and well kept. I would highly recommend Avalon.

Wonderful staff, very attentive to my grandfathers needs. Recent renovations to the facility give a bright and cheerful atmosphere and I can see they are doing more improvements as well. Great value, I would highly recommend this facility.

Description of Avalon Assisted Living Community 700 in Fitchburg, WI

    Built In 2000 , Number of Beds : 8

Avalon Assisted Living Memory Care offers assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, continuing care and respite services and senior-friendly amenities. Offering help with the activities of daily living, along with health services, nutritious meals, and a range of other features, assisted living allows seniors to thrive. Why choose an assisted living community? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to more satisfaction with life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly apartments and a busy social calendar. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a plethora of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. You'll have your own private space, so you can bring your favorite furniture, photos, and cookware. You’ll be able to spend time pursuing activities that you enjoy since tasks commonly associated with homeownership will be taken care of. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Part independent living, part assisted living, and part skilled nursing home, continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) offers a tiered approach to the aging process. CCRC accommodates seniors' changing needs as they age, offering all levels of services, support, and housing. Typically, short-term rehab and memory care services are offered as well. Residents move to a continuing care Community when they are active and independent. As they begin to age, and want more assistance, they don't have to look for a new home. The next level of care is ready for them right in their own community. Having familiarity with the facility and the staff makes the change more comfortable. CCRCs offer many lifestyle programs such as educational, recreational, and social events and activities. Avalon Assisted Living Memory Care helps seniors find the worry-free lifestyle they want. In this community, seniors have complete assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, continuing care and respite services as well as a friendly, supportive community. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help when you need it, with the goal of supplying the aid required to stay as self-sufficient as possible. When seniors are able to live without assistance, but want the benefits and comfort of living in a senior-friendly community, choose independent living. Continuing retirement care is dedicated to making the phases of the aging process as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. It achieves this through offering long-term, comprehensive assistance, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. Call today and discover how Avalon Assisted Living Memory Care is the perfect fit for seniors requiring assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, continuing care and respite services.
