Our 89 year old dad had finally made the decision to move into Harbour Village's Independent Living apartments. We were thrilled that he would be in a safe environment that offered so many amenities and activities, as well as, delicious meals. We worked with Debbie, the Executive Director and Melissa, the Sales Counselor, through the process. We proceeded to move his things into his new apartment, but unfortunately, our dad's health deteriorated quickly and he passed away before actually being able to move in. Debbie and Melissa were so compassionate, helpful, and supportive through this entire experience. We can't thank them enough! Also, we were in and out of Harbour Village so many times, completely moving all of our dad's things in and out over a three week period of time. During that process, we were so impressed with the attentiveness of the staff, all of the daily activities going on, and how happy the residence seemed to be.
Thank you, Harbour Village!

Description of Harbour Village in GreenDale, WI

    Built In 1989 , Number of Beds : 38

Providing assisted living, independent living, memory care and hospice services, Harbour Village has a wide range of services and amenities in a warm, friendly environment. Assisted living, geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but occassionally need a little assistance, is the fastest growing, long-term care option for seniors. Living in a senior community has many advantages. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. With assisted living, you'll enjoy senior-friendly homes and a welcoming staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and a calendar of social events. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. Developed for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a range of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You'll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care necessitates the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia need a staff that is trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment offer intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Reside at Harbour Village and enjoy a relaxing lifestyle, where residents can enjoy conversation and meet new friends. In this community, assisted living, independent living, memory care and hospice services are provided. The help you'll find at assisted living communities is offered as necessary, with the goal of supplying the support services required to stay as self-reliant as possible. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a worry-free life. Memory care offers a higher level of attention, intellectual stimulation, along with comfortable, secure accommodations. At Harbour Village, seniors find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably.
