My father has been here for a few months. Staff is pretty poor. When ringing for help to use the bathroom and two hours later someone shows up, and he is told they are busy, that is not quality care at all. Some good staff, but mostly poor. This is only one of many questionable things that go on, and it seems they don't get corrected. No one knows anything.

Couldn't have more disappointed in the Rehab efforts. While the PT and OT staff were fine and supportive, the overall nursing staff was at best lack luster. This was especially true during the evening hours. Numerous calls for nursing assistance resulted in extremely delayed response. When asking for prescribed medications, the staff was confused and asked what medication that was. Depressing environment. If your loved one has a medical advocate, they'll make it through (although not positively).

My mom was at the sub acute rehab at VMP and I could not have been more disappointed. I had always heard good things but that was a few years ago. Things must have changed and NOT for the better. My mom did not receive good care, she became confused due to her medications and staff did not recognize it, staff was rude when she requested help (which was rare). There was a few good staff but very few. When I voiced concerns I was told someone would call me regarding them, no call. When she arrived she was placed in her room and no one even came to check in for 45 minutes; when I questioned it was told they had 4 admissions. At discharge they did not follow through with home care. Very disappointing.
