Shepherd of the Valley is a large, for profit, nursing home with 192 beds based in Casper, WY. At last check, the facility had 178 residents indicating that it is 93% occupied which is about average within the state of Wyoming. The provider accepts both medicare and medicaid programs, and provides resident counseling services.
This nursing home and assisted living facility, is not located in a hospital or a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). As of November 2012, the medicare rating for Shepherd Of The Valley, was 1 star, which is a lower rating than 85% of nursing homes in Wyoming. Important to note that this facility has recently detriorated and has gone from 2 stars to 1 stars.

when i went in there i noticed that a women was calling for hep & several nurses just ignored her she had fecies all down her legs & when i tried to let an older woman @ the desk know she told me it wasnt her problem! i was astonished then when i asked to to be shown around they said they didnt have time that women with black hair was just dwn right hatful not to mention there food was horrid mostly the day before food just made differently it was a lot of starchy products nasty! i wouldt recomend living here or putting my own mother here! i even saw a mexican prenant woman tell these 2 elderlywomen to shut up & go sit in ure @#$% that she was busy! ;[ not cool i will not be sending my blind disabled vet husband toR TH this facility ever you people are the BY FAE WORST THAT CASPER HAS TO OFFER YOU SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN & RE EVALUATED ADMEADIATALLY!!
